Memorial Hospital of Gardena’s Subacute Unit has been awarded a prestigious 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
A 5-star rating is the highest honor CMS bestows, placing the Gardena unit among the top healthcare facilities in the nation. Only 10 percent of the subacute facilities in the country hold a 5-star rating.

Renne Guerreo is the recipient of our Exemplary Employee Award for June. This award recognizes outstanding employees who demonstrate their commitment to patients, family and co-workers through acts of caring, compassion and excellent customer service.
Med-Surg Nurse Named Exemplary Employee
Oritsegbemi “Bemi” Mene-Ejegi is our Exemplary Employee for the month of May. He is a Charge Nurse on the Med-Surg Unit who joined the Gardena team in May 2024.
