Congratulations to Memorial Hospital of Gardena for the successful completion of the ABG LAB CAP survey conducted in September.
Denise Anderson, director of cardiopulmonary services, reported that the surveyors identified only two deficiencies after reviewing hundreds of standards.
“This is a stellar achievement for our hospital, indicative of our high standards of quality care for the patients we serve,” said hospital CEO Victor Carrasco.
An ABG LAB CAP survey is the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Proficiency Testing Program for Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) laboratories. The survey is designed to assess laboratory accuracy, precision and performance through the analysis of unknown samples and comparison with a peer group.
