Renne Guerreo is the recipient of our Exemplary Employee Award for June. This award recognizes outstanding employees who demonstrate their commitment to patients, family and co-workers through acts of caring, compassion and excellent customer service.
Guerreo is a Cook in our Nutrition and Food Services department. He joined our Memorial Hospital of Gardena team in January 2018.
He was nominated by two co-workers. One of those individuals had this to say:
“Renne always has a great attitude at work and is very helpful when he can be. He goes above and beyond when patients ask for substitutions that aren’t readily available for their meals, and he always cares about the quality of food he makes. He always makes my day whenever I work with him.”
Another co-worker wrote the following in nominating Renne:
“Since joining MHG in 2018, Renne Guerrer has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and pride in his work. Originally hired as a Food Service Worker, Renne quickly distinguished himself through his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to quality. His outstanding performance led to his well‑deserved promotion to Cook, a role in which he continues to excel.
“Renne is known for his kindness, teamwork, and willingness to support others. He regularly steps in to cover shifts for co-workers, ensures tasks are completed thoroughly, and maintains a positive attitude regardless of the demands of the day. His dependability is unmatched — he does not call out, arrives ready to work, and consistently upholds the standards and values of MHG and Pipeline.
Although much of Renne’s work takes place behind the scenes, his impact is felt throughout the department. Many staff members may not interact with him daily, but his contributions are essential to delicious and nutritious food for our patients and cafeteria, smooth operations and high‑quality service. Renne approaches every responsibility with professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to excellence.”
